Terran Data Inc. (TDI) provides consulting services related to data management for large and small businesses in Canada and abroad. We provide technical support for proprietary database users, advanced training for Excel users, and undertake data management projects using MS Access, Excel, Visual Studio, SQL and other software technologies.
Our lead consultants have 15+ years of experience in computer data management.
We develop novel data models and implement them in custom data management system. We routinely set up new databases for clients and populate them with data from historic sources.
We perform systematic audits of existing databases to identify and fix errors, anomalies, and data conformity issues. We can evaluate current data management practices and provide recommendations for changes that will improve data quality control and assurance (QA/QC) and the efficiency of managing data.

EQWin Services
EQWin is a software product that stores and manages environmental monitoring data. EQWin focuses on the requirements for collecting, analyzing, storing, and interpreting sample data from monitoring programs where specified points are typically sampled on a routine schedule and measured for a wide variety of physical, chemical, bacteriological, biological, and other parameters.
Flexible & Powerful
EQWin is flexible and powerful on both data import (including laboratory LIMS data) and data analysis/reporting/export. It is ideal for long-term data retention, making historical data as accessible as current data. It has been applied to surface water, ground water, soil and air quality data and has been used for baseline studies, operational data, incident contamination assessment, remediation, reclamation and other types of environmental programs requiring regular monitoring. EQWin provides a number of unique features that can be modified to include custom logic to meet local requirements and preferences, such as automatic interpretation of “less than detection limit” data in statistics and graphs, comprehensive import data validation, and flagging of standard or permit exceedances.
Set Up & Migration
We routinely set up new EQWin databases for managing monitoring data for surface water, groundwater, air, dust, soil, sediment, biological or meteorological data, including migrating historic data from other sources into a new database. We can help set up an entire environmental data management system for managing and tracking sampling and field data together with laboratory work so that all such data are imported efficiently into EQWin.
